Got home Monday and I am at a loss of words in describing how wonderful the shows, the people, and Colorado was. An amazing time, one of those things you have on "your list to do before you die."

Long Time Coming....#34

Last night's DMB show saw the return of one of their classics, #34 and has the whole DMB community in a tizzy. And for good reason the band has not played the song live since 1993.

They have been sound checking it at a few shows and last night the lucky crowd at the Tweeter Center in Mansfield, MA got to hear a full live version.

DMB Now On iTunes Music Store!!!!!

Are you kidding me??? DMB is finally on the iTunes Music Store! My ritual of sending a weekly email to the comments section of the iTunes feedback section has finally paid off. It is not entirely Apple's fault, part of the blame lies with DMB. They have shunned the store since it is the band's belief that the album is a work of art and allowing people to purchase and download individual tracks is a no-no.

New DMB Coming

The Dave Matthews Band will be releasing a new studio album sometime this spring (May 2005?). So what's it gonna sound like? Too early to tell, but if you keep and eye on this site which is solely dedicated to the new album they will soon release audio tracks. Currently they have a few video's which introduce you to the new producer Mark Batson. Mark is a hot ticket right now being that he has produced some winners which include Gwen Stefani's new solo project, Eminem's Encore, and Seal's self entitled album Seal IV.

I was never a big fan of the Everyday album, and I really despised the direction Glen Ballard tried to take the band.

The band did play some new tunes this past tour and the sound was like that of the "old days". It will be interesting to see what kind of spin Mark takes on these. Although I am skeptical about how it will turn out being that Mark seems to work in the mainstream world I will hold judgment until I hear some of the new material. I just hope my inhibitions do not turn out to be correct.

Nothing Like Some New Dave

The 2004 DMB tour got off to a great start last night in St. Louis. They debuted four new songs and everything else showed to be the typical DMB show. Although the road page of the band said that Grace Is Gone and Warehouse had some new twists. By far the best of the new four is Crazy Easy (Wagering this will be the first single) and Joyride. Sugar Will (Great Sax work from Roi) and Hello Again seem to need some tweaking. Lord knows they will get plenty of play time since the tour will last until early September.
