What a game. Great pass from Durant for the win.
I smell a bowl game for Carolina.

Great game.....Carolina fell a few yards short when Conner Barth missed a 54-yard field goal. Had he made it, it would have tied the game and sent the Heels and Hokies to OT.

Carolina, in what must be the biggest upset in college football this year beat the Miami Hurricanes 31-28 in Chapel Hill Saturday night. It was the first time in UNC's school history that it beat a top 5 team in football.
The pressure was on Conner Barth, Carolina's freshman kicker who with 4 seconds left kicked a 42 yard field goal, the biggest field goal since Michael Jordan (a freshman at the time) scored the game winning basket against the Georgetown Hoyas in the 1982 NCAA College Basketball finals.
And like every good upset the fans rushed the field and leveled the goal posts. I bet Franklin Street is still buzzing this morning.

The Atlanta Braves had the momentum going into last night's game 5 after a come from behind victory in Houston. But Houston hammered the Braves 12-3 and won their first playoff series in team history.
Apple's iPod now has a leading 82% share 92% of the US mp3 market. And it could grow even more if they release the that rumored “video” edition.

I can now say that I have been to a real college football game. Last weekend I visited John & Robert up Notre Dame for a very memorable time. Having been to UNC and NC State football games before I had no idea how much better it could be. Games in South Bend are at the next level. The Irish had no trouble taking care of the Huskies, beating them 38-3. You can check out the pics of the trip here.

Phil Mickelson could not have picked a better place to win his first major. Mickelson shot a blazing 69 and sunk a 18 foot putt on the 18th hole at Augusta National to claim his first "Green Jacket" and his first major. His birdie putt was the difference between having a playoff with Ernie Els (who by the way was on the practice green when Phil sunk it) and winning The Masters.
After Saturday night's NCAA basketball results, I am eating my fair share of crow this morning. I have been mouthing off that the Cowboys of Oklahoma State were going to take it all the way in San Antonio. Well, Georgia Tech stopped my prediction cold when they scored in the last few seconds and beat OSU Saturday night. Earlier in the season I was barking that Georgia Tech was overated....could you please pass me some more of the that crow.
And since Duke was ousted by UCONN it is up to the Yellow Jackets to bring the Championship trophy (In case you forgot it is currently being held by the Syracuse Orangmen) back to the ACC. Of note Georgia Tech beat the Huskies last November by 16 points.
Duke, Wake Forest, and Georgia Tech are the last three ACC teams left in the NCAA Tournament. The tournament began with six, but by this afternoon we lost Maryland, North Carolina, and North Carolina State with Maryland and UNC losing last night. All three losses were very close games with each team having an opportunity to tie or win the game in the last seconds.
